Information we collect

When you request a quote, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, installation address including suburb, state and postcode, property type, and the type of solar or battery system you're interested in. If you have used a calculator in the same browser tab within the last 30 minutes, we may include its latest indicative estimates with your quote request. Bill Check carries only editable estimate notes, never your bill file. We may also collect basic technical information (such as device and browser type) when you visit the site, along with how you arrived: the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed.

How we use your information

We use your information to match you with accredited solar installers, to facilitate quotes, to respond to enquiries, and to improve our service. We share your details only with the verified, accredited installer we match you with, so they can prepare a quote for you.

Advertising measurement

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how our advertising performs. When your quote request is verified and passed to an installer, a "Lead" event is sent to Meta from your browser and from our server, matched so it is only counted once. It includes the time of your enquiry, the page you arrived on, and technical details such as your browser type and IP address. We do not send Meta your name, email address, phone number or survey answers.

Marketing

With your consent, we may send you helpful information about solar, batteries, and rebates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

Storage and security

We store your information using reputable cloud infrastructure providers and apply reasonable safeguards to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To make a request, contact us via the details on our website.
